  2. a machine consisting of an endless belt with scoops attached, used for raising grain to an upper storey for storage.

Types of Doors in Elevators

Elevators use various types of doors, including manual, automatic, swing, and telescopic doors. Automatic doors are the most common and can further be categorized by their opening mechanism, such as center-opening (sliding) or telescopic. Manual doors are generally found in older buildings or smaller elevators. Swing doors, often used for building entrances, swing outward or inward on hinges.

Types of Elevator Doors:

  1. Manual Doors:These are the most basic type, requiring passengers to open and close them manually.
  2. Automatic Doors:These open and close automatically, offering convenience and safety.
  3. Center Opening (Sliding):The most common type, where panels slide outwards from the center.
  4. Telescopic:These doors slide into each other, ideal for narrow spaces.
  5. Swing Doors: These open outward or inward like a traditional door.
  6. Telescopic Doors:These slide into each other, saving space
  7. Collapsible Doors: Used in freight elevators and industrial areas.
  8. Fire-Rated Doors: Essential for safety during emergencies.
